Seeing the Everyday in Twenty Thirteen

Seeing the Everyday in Twenty Thirteen
Our lives are the sum of each moment and interaction. Each day we work, eat, laugh, teach, play, read, remember...and work at it all again the next day. Within seemingly small exchanges we find opportunity to build relationships, develop character, find joy for the price of our time. Life's most essential possibilities are realized at home. Where we share, teach, grow, learn, serve, give our best without praise or fanfare. Because every effort, every moment matters in the development of a person. Nothing is really routine. I give myself for the good of my family and find the poetry within life's daily prose by Seeing the Everyday.

Family History and the Temple

Tuesday, July 15, 2008

Today has been a joyous day and it's also been very emotional for me. Our family did the Temple work for my Grandma and Grandpa Kelly and some of her family members. Brinkley was baptized for my Grandma, Virginia Irene Armstrong, her mother, Carrie Mae Stiles, and the wife of my Grandma's Father, Margaret Catherine Davis.

Brady was baptized for my Grandpa, Gerald Eugene Kelly and my Grandma's Father, Harry Elsworth Armstrong.

Kasey was baptized for my Grandma's Grandfather Daniel Augustus Armstrong Jr. and one of her brothers, Henry Armstrong. Brad was able to perform the baptisms. He got choked up when he read my Grandma's name Virgina Irene Armstrong. After the baptisms were performed, Brad also was able to perform the confirmations where my Grandma and her family members received the Holy Ghost. After the ordinances were complete, Brad and I were able to perform the inititories and then the endowment and sealing for my Grandpa and Grandma Kelly. I called my mom from the Temple and told her that Grandma and Grandpa were getting married today...again...but for all eternity.
