Seeing the Everyday in Twenty Thirteen

Seeing the Everyday in Twenty Thirteen
Our lives are the sum of each moment and interaction. Each day we work, eat, laugh, teach, play, read, remember...and work at it all again the next day. Within seemingly small exchanges we find opportunity to build relationships, develop character, find joy for the price of our time. Life's most essential possibilities are realized at home. Where we share, teach, grow, learn, serve, give our best without praise or fanfare. Because every effort, every moment matters in the development of a person. Nothing is really routine. I give myself for the good of my family and find the poetry within life's daily prose by Seeing the Everyday.

Brady: Amazing Pitcher!

Thursday, June 5, 2008

Last night Brady had a playoff baseball game. He knew he would be the starting pitcher against the Dodgers. It would be an understatement to say that he was excited and ready for action because this was the team to beat! Personally, in that last few years that Brady has been playing baseball, I have never seen him pitch this amazing. He's always been good, but I wish I had a video camera to have captured the whole game. His accuracy and velocity were amazing. We also had 40 mph gusts of winds throughout the game, but he was incredible with - 95 pitches
- 16 strikeouts - that's 48 strikes!
1 walk - he batted 3-4 - 2 stolen bases - and scored 2 out of the 3 runs to WIN THE GAME! Brady had reached his pitch count in the 6th inning (they play 7). When he was done pitching the score was 2 -0, and we were winning. He received a standing ovation and even the coaches were saying "unbelievable - they'd never seen anything like it." Another pitcher came in and then the score was tied 2 - 0. Ugh! It was tense, but we had last bats and thankfully we got a good hit and Brady made it home for the winning run. It was the best baseball game I had ever seen. Everyone kept saying the same thing. His last playoff game is tomorrow night. He has used all of his pitches so we are really hoping the other pitchers come through for the team and they can win the championship!

Congratulations
Brady on the most amazing game ever!
