Seeing the Everyday in Twenty Thirteen

Seeing the Everyday in Twenty Thirteen
Our lives are the sum of each moment and interaction. Each day we work, eat, laugh, teach, play, read, remember...and work at it all again the next day. Within seemingly small exchanges we find opportunity to build relationships, develop character, find joy for the price of our time. Life's most essential possibilities are realized at home. Where we share, teach, grow, learn, serve, give our best without praise or fanfare. Because every effort, every moment matters in the development of a person. Nothing is really routine. I give myself for the good of my family and find the poetry within life's daily prose by Seeing the Everyday.

Sweetheart Dance

Tuesday, February 17, 2009

On Saturday, Valentine's Day, Brady went to the Sweetheart Dance. A few weeks ago, Brooke Saunders (her Grandfather is the Patriarch who gave Brady and Brinkley their patriarchal blessings) came to our home and "Heart-attacked Brady's bedroom door, asking him to the Sweetheart Dance. Read about the Heart-attack Invitation here. The corsage and tie was bought to match Brooke's dress...ah! The dress...Brooke looked stunning! She's a beautiful girl, but more importantly she is beautiful on the inside...truly.
Putting on the corsage and boutonniere.

They went with a group of 12 - here's Travis and Rachel.

Beautiful Dress. They both look very nice.

And they're off!

This is going to be fun!

They went to Macaroni Grill for dinner, then to the high school for the dance, and afterwards went to one of the girls home from the group, and had yummy dessert with a chocolate fountain and played games. Brady said that this was the best date he had ever been on. At church I asked Brooke is she had a good time and if it was all worth it and she said, "oh yeah." I'm so glad they had fun!
