Seeing the Everyday in Twenty Thirteen

Seeing the Everyday in Twenty Thirteen
Our lives are the sum of each moment and interaction. Each day we work, eat, laugh, teach, play, read, remember...and work at it all again the next day. Within seemingly small exchanges we find opportunity to build relationships, develop character, find joy for the price of our time. Life's most essential possibilities are realized at home. Where we share, teach, grow, learn, serve, give our best without praise or fanfare. Because every effort, every moment matters in the development of a person. Nothing is really routine. I give myself for the good of my family and find the poetry within life's daily prose by Seeing the Everyday.

LOST

Wednesday, December 29, 2010

In February the last season of Lost (Season 6) was premiering and I wanted to have a Lost Party with the kids. We had been watching the show together for the past few seasons. It was so fun coming up with the ideas of what food to have and making all the clip art to match items from the show.

Oceanic tickets, peanuts and water.

Jin's sushi and John's boar meat which was pulled pork. Along with Kate and Sawyer's fruit - pineapple and coconut.

Jones Soda - Root Beer, for the beer they had on the island, and Mac-n-Cheese.

Carrots and Ranch Dressing
and Apollo Candy Bars.
Chocolate Creme Cookies and Peanut Butter Cookies for the pretend peanut butter.
 Sun's Island Garden Salad.
