Temple Bench Unveiling

Today we participated in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Bench Unveiling Program. In August, the children and the youth were encouraged to donate $15.00 for temple benches that would be placed outside of our ward building, and enjoyed by anyone who would like to sit, ponder and view the Temple. This was a great activity for the children to earn money and donate for the temple benches. It was a great program of music and talks prepared by children and youth who attend church in our ward building. After the program we all gathered outside to view the unveiling of the temple benches.

I was so grateful that my kids were able to participate in this great activity and use their own money for these beautiful benches. They are made out of polished granite. It reminds me of the conference center and President Hinckley's headstone because they are made out of this same granite. The engravings on the benches are also so meaningful.
