He Gave His Tie Away

One day we went to The Cheesecake Factory. It's so yummy there. Mine, Brinkley, and Braxley's favorite dish is the Spicy Cashew Chicken. We usually share it because the portions are so big. When we got our food and tasted it, we knew something was wrong. It wasn't bad. But it wasn't the same sauce we were used to. It was sweet instead of spicy. When the manager came over to apologize for the kitchen error, he noticed Kasey's tie and told him that he like it. When we were almost done eating, Kasey said, "should I give that guy my tie?" I was so impressed that Kasey would suggest this. I wasn't surprised because this is totally Kasey. He's has the most generous heart. Everyone got excited and Kasey was getting nervous because he wanted to do it but didn't know how. Finally, after everyone came up with their own idea of how he should give the manager his tie, I asked the waitress if she could send the manager back over to our table. He came and Kasey told him that he wanted to give him his tie. The guy was shocked. Literally. He couldn't believe that Kasey would give him his tie. He even offered his tie in a trade. This was a young manager and his tie was very nice too, and he said he would feel better if he did a trade. Kasey said if  it would make him feel better, they could trade, but that he really didn't need to do that. We even explained to the manager, Dan is his name, that this was a special tie, a one and only, from the Wynn Ferrell Collection, which they don't sell. It's a great tie and Kasey loves it, but he really wanted to give it to him. So Dan, still bewildered, thankfully and gratefully agreed, and then asked for Kasey for his address. And this is the card that Dan sent to Kasey. He also included five free cheesecake gift cards. When Dan wrote, "Your generosity is something rare, and I was truly impressed there are still people out there like you!" that really summed up what Dan was feeling that day when he was so surprised that Kasey would give him his tie. It was a great moment to witness between these two "new" friends. I am so proud of Kasey for even having the thought to give someone his tie just because they said they like it.
